Nick Benson - Co-Caption Head - Visual

From Everett, WA, Nick has been teaching, designing and consulting for both the fall and the winter seasons for numerous Northwest marching programs, including Conestoga Middle School, Davis H.S., Cascade H.S., Westview H.S., Southridge H.S., Kamiak H.S., Tigard H.S. and currently Hockinson and Evergreen High Schools. Since relocating to Vancouver Nick held the visual caption head position for the Oregon Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps (2004-2006), the Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps (2007) , before joining the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps in 2008, holding the same position.

As a performer, Mr. Benson got his start with the Cascade High School Marching Band and learned about the Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps where he marched for two years. While attending the University of Washington and Western Washington University, Nick studied Music and English and performed with numerous music ensembles as a trombone, euphonium and tuba player. From there he had the opportunity to perform with the 11-time World Champion Concord Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps in 2003.
