Matt Haines - Visual Caption Head

Matt Haines began his drum corps career as a member of The Cadets, where he marched in the baritone section from 2001 to 2003. In 2004 he aged-out as the corps' drum major.

The following year, Matt took a more administrative approach to the activity, serving as The Cadets' Assistant Director. In 2006, he became the Visual Caption Head with the Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps of Colubus, Ohio. In addition, Matt has taught several marching bands in New York State over the last five years.

Outside of the marching activity, Matt graduated from Ithaca College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Trombone Performance. As a trombonist, he has performed in a large variety of ensembles. Matt is most proud of Pinnacle Brass, a brass quintet that took part in several national tours as well as a week of performances in Germany.

Matt currently resides just outside of Nagoya, Japan where he is wrapping up a season with the Aimachi Marching Band. In January he will move to Manhattan, where he will begin work on a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management.
